Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual search techniques.
- Operate advanced imaging technology and security equipment to detect potential threats.
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches when necessary to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Monitor security checkpoints to identify and respond to suspicious activities or anomalies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, addressing inquiries with professionalism and patience.
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records of checkpoint activities.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug screening.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in security, customer service, or law enforcement preferred.
