Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate X-ray screening equipment to inspect carry-on and checked baggage for prohibited items.
- Passenger Screening: Perform physical screening of passengers, including pat-downs and use of walk-through metal detectors or advanced imaging technology.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with passengers to ensure a secure and smooth travel experience while answering inquiries.
- Security Protocols: Identify and mitigate potential security threats or anomalies, and enforce strict adherence to TSA security regulations.
- Documentation: Accurately document security incidents, passenger alerts, and equipment malfunctions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a diverse team to maintain a secure airport environment.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a federal background investigation and obtain a security clearance.
- Health & Fitness: Ability to pass a medical examination, drug screening, and maintain physical fitness standards.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Availability: Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
