Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo for prohibited items using X-ray scanners and manual detection techniques
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and advanced imaging procedures as mandated by TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints to identify and respond to potential threats or suspicious behavior
- Operate advanced security equipment including EDS systems and trace detection portals
- Maintain detailed documentation of security incidents and screening activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
- Enforce TSA regulations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid U.S. driver's license or state-issued ID
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in English with strong communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn security systems
