Responsibilities
- Security Screening: Operate X-ray machines, walk-through metal detectors, and body scanners to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage.
- Passenger Interaction: Professionally screen passengers, manage queues, and provide clear, concise communication regarding security procedures.
- Operations Support: Assist with passenger searches, pat-downs, and the resolution of alarms in a calm, respectful, and efficient manner.
- Equipment Maintenance: Monitor security equipment performance and report malfunctions or maintenance needs to the shift supervisor immediately.
- Administrative Duties: Complete necessary documentation, reports, and shift logs accurately and on time.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to TSA directives, security protocols, and federal regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a federal background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Driver's License: Possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and have good vision (corrected if necessary) and hearing.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse population.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
