Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate X-ray screening equipment and physical bag checks to detect prohibited items in both carry-on and checked baggage.
- Passenger Processing: Screen passengers in accordance with strict security protocols, including pat-downs and physical searches when necessary.
- Alarm Response: Rapidly and accurately respond to alarm triggers on screening equipment or passenger alarms.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to all travelers, including those with special needs, while maintaining a professional demeanor under pressure.
- Compliance: Adhere to all TSA directives, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.
- Security Awareness: Maintain a high level of situational awareness to identify potential security threats.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a diverse team environment to ensure efficient checkpoint operations.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a federal background check, including fingerprinting, and a drug screening.
- Medical Fitness: Ability to pass a medical examination and a physical agility test.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
