Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray screening equipment and advanced imaging technology to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage.
- Perform physical pat-downs and screening procedures on passengers to ensure security compliance.
- Interact professionally with passengers, explaining screening procedures and maintaining a courteous demeanor during high-pressure situations.
- Monitor and operate walk-through metal detectors and magnetometers.
- Enforce security regulations and policies in accordance with TSA guidelines.
- Complete daily logs and incident reports accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient flow of passengers and baggage through checkpoints.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and medical examination.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull luggage weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent vision (corrected if necessary) and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
