Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct physical searches of individuals and carry-on items when necessary
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify suspicious items or behaviors
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers while enforcing security protocols
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with screening equipment
- Valid state driver's license if required for position duties
