Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening using advanced X-ray equipment and manual inspection techniques
- Monitor security checkpoints to detect prohibited items and potential threats
- Provide professional customer service while enforcing TSA security protocols
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams during security events
- Participate in continuous training on security procedures and equipment operation
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to federal security guidelines
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Successful completion of TSA's Security Screening Training Program
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate security screening equipment
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
