Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage for prohibited items
- Conduct physical pat-downs and baggage searches as required by security protocols
- Verify passenger identification and boarding documents against flight manifests
- Respond to security breaches and emergency situations following established procedures
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents and screening activities
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers while enforcing security regulations
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
