Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening using advanced X-ray and detection equipment
- Enforce TSA security regulations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Identify and report prohibited items or suspicious activities to supervisors
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening incidents and procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security protocols
- Operate security systems including metal detectors, CT scanners, and trace detection devices
- Provide customer service assistance to travelers during screening processes
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Must obtain and maintain TSA-mandated security clearance
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
