Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Perform pat-down searches and additional screening protocols as required by security procedures
- Monitor security checkpoints and maintain strict compliance with TSA regulations and federal mandates
- Identify and report suspicious items, activities, or security threats to supervisory personnel
- Provide courteous assistance to travelers while maintaining a professional demeanor during security interactions
- Operate and maintain screening equipment with precision and attention to detail
- Document security incidents and complete required reports with accuracy
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex security procedures
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
