Responsibilities
- Perform advanced passenger and baggage screening using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual inspection techniques
- Identify and respond to potential security threats according to TSA protocols
- Operate and maintain security screening equipment in optimal condition
- Provide courteous and efficient customer service to travelers with diverse needs
- Document security incidents and screening activities accurately
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security escalations
- Adhere to all TSA Standard Operating Procedures and federal regulations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TSA security clearance
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Strong attention to detail and observational abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Clear verbal communication skills in English
- Successful completion of TSA background check and drug screening
