Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage at security checkpoints using X-ray machines and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Monitor surveillance systems and identify suspicious items or behaviors
- Operate advanced security technology including CT scanners and explosive trace detectors
- Enforce TSA security protocols and maintain orderly checkpoint operations
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security standards
- Document security incidents and complete detailed reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment with strict deadlines
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
