Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening using advanced imaging technologies and manual search techniques
- Enforce TSA security regulations with professionalism while maintaining exceptional customer service
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive trace detection systems
- Identify and report suspicious items, security threats, and suspicious behavior patterns
- Maintain accurate screening documentation and security incident reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during security escalations
- Participate in continuous training on evolving security protocols and technologies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass comprehensive background check and security clearance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn specialized screening equipment
