Responsibilities
- Operate advanced X-ray and millimeter-wave scanners to screen passengers, baggage, and cargo for prohibited items
- Conduct thorough physical pat-downs and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints via CCTV systems to detect suspicious activities
- Enforce TSA regulations while maintaining professional customer service standards
- Document security incidents and operational irregularities in TSA databases
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during security breaches
- Maintain checkpoint equipment functionality and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship with valid Social Security Number
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass TSA background investigation and security clearance
- Ability to stand for extended periods in high-pressure environments
- Basic computer proficiency for operating screening equipment
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and maneuver baggage
- Successful completion of TSA security training program
- No felony convictions or disqualifying employment history
