Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced passenger and baggage screening using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive trace detection systems
- Implement TSA security protocols and SOPs to detect prohibited items and potential threats
- Perform pat-down searches and baggage inspections when necessary
- Operate advanced imaging technology and maintain screening equipment functionality
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security escalations
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining firm security standards
- Participate in continuous training on emerging threats and security procedures
Qualifications
- US Citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid government-issued photo ID and security clearance eligibility
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn security technology systems
