Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced passenger and baggage screening using X-ray technology and manual inspection techniques
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining exceptional customer service standards
- Identify and resolve potential security threats through keen observational skills
- Operate complex security equipment including CT scanners and trace detection systems
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
- Train on evolving security procedures and threat detection methodologies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Successfully pass pre-employment background investigation and drug screening
- Proficient in English with strong communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Previous security screening or law enforcement experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
