Responsibilities
- Operate advanced X-ray and millimeter-wave scanning equipment to screen passengers and carry-on luggage
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify potential threats through behavioral detection techniques
- Provide exceptional customer service to diverse travelers while maintaining security standards
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
- Participate in mandatory recurrent training and security awareness programs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4-6 hour shifts)
- Basic computer skills for equipment operation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and push/pull baggage carts
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Customer service experience preferred but not required
