Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors
- Conduct physical pat-downs and bag searches following TSA protocols
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger manifests
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activity
- Operate advanced imaging technology and explosive detection systems
- Maintain accurate logs of security incidents and passenger interactions
- Provide clear instructions to travelers regarding security procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn security technology
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments while maintaining composure
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
