Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage for prohibited items using advanced X-ray technology and manual inspection techniques
- Operate security equipment including CT scanners, metal detectors, and explosive trace detection systems
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections per TSA protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and screening activities
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security protocols
- Participate in continuous training on security threats and screening procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status with required immigration documentation
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass TSA background investigation and security clearance requirements
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Successful completion of TSA security screening training program
