We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to serve as TSA Security Screeners at Denver International Airport (DEN). In this critical role, you will ensure the safety and security of the nation's transportation systems. As a Screener, you will utilize state-of-the-art screening equipment and technology to detect threats while maintaining a professional and customer-focused demeanor. Equipment and uniforms are provided upon hiring.
Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate X-ray screening equipment to inspect carry-on baggage, cargo, and personal items for prohibited items.
- Passenger Screening: Screen passengers and property using walk-through metal detectors, advanced imaging technology (AIT), and physical pat-downs.
- Security Enforcement: Identify potential security threats and take immediate action to resolve them in accordance with TSA regulations.
- Customer Service: Assist travelers with questions regarding security procedures, provide directions, and resolve conflicts calmly and professionally.
- Documentation: Complete required documentation accurately and maintain strict adherence to all security protocols and safety guidelines.
- Physical Readiness: Maintain the physical fitness standards required to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Background Check: Must pass a background investigation, including a criminal history check, education verification, and employment verification.
- Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Legal Status: Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Health: Must pass a drug test and a medical examination to ensure physical capability for the role.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
