Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and property to detect prohibited items such as weapons, explosives, and hazardous materials.
- Operate advanced X-ray screening equipment to analyze carry-on and checked baggage contents.
- Patrol screening lanes to ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Conduct random and targeted screening of passengers and property to deter potential threats.
- Communicate effectively with travelers to explain screening procedures and resolve concerns professionally.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure screening environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient checkpoint operations.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a rigorous background check, including fingerprinting, and a medical examination.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions required for screening.
- Good vision and the ability to distinguish between similar colors or shades of colors.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Secret clearance.
