Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate X-ray machines, walk-through metal detectors, and body scanners to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage.
- Passenger Interaction: Conduct passenger screening procedures, including pat-downs and wand screening, while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Customer Service: Assist travelers with inquiries, provide directions, and resolve issues to ensure a smooth travel experience.
- Security Protocols: Adhere to strict TSA security protocols and federal regulations to maintain a secure airport environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and report any malfunctions in screening equipment to the appropriate maintenance team.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Background: Must pass a criminal history background check, drug screening, and medical examination.
- Physical: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical pat-downs.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
