Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology and physical inspections.
- Identify and intercept prohibited items, including weapons, explosives, and other dangerous materials.
- Enforce all TSA security directives, regulations, and procedures consistently.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service to travelers, assisting those with special needs or accessibility requirements.
- Monitor security checkpoints and observe passenger behavior to detect potential security threats.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and interagency partners during emergency situations.
- Perform random checks and maintain a vigilant posture during all shifts.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Must successfully complete a federal background investigation, including a criminal history check and fingerprinting.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a medical examination.
- Must meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
