Responsibilities
- Passenger Screening: Operate advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment to screen passengers and carry-on baggage for prohibited items.
- Security Protocols: Monitor security checkpoints to ensure strict compliance with federal laws and TSA regulations.
- Conflict Resolution: De-escalate situations with travelers professionally while maintaining a focus on safety and security.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary reports and logs accurately regarding screening activities and incidents.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on screening equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Customer Service: Assist passengers with inquiries and provide a positive, professional experience during stressful travel times.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Education: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a federal background check, drug screen, and medical/fitness assessment.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 50 lbs) as required by the role.
- Availability: Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
