Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray equipment and walk-through metal detectors.
- Identify prohibited items and intervene to resolve security threats effectively.
- Interact with travelers in a professional, courteous, and patient manner to maintain a positive travel experience.
- Adhere to strict security protocols, regulations, and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist in directing passengers to screening lanes and providing clear instructions.
- Document observations and report suspicious activities or individuals to supervisors immediately.
- Perform bag checks and pat-downs in accordance with TSA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
- Must possess a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass a background investigation, including a criminal history records check.
- Must pass a medical examination and drug screening.
- Must be able to speak, read, and understand English clearly.
- Ability to pass the TSA Transportation Security Officer pre-employment test.
