Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate X-ray and CT scanning equipment to inspect carry-on and checked baggage for prohibited items and explosives.
- Passenger Screening: Perform identity verification and physical screenings of passengers and their property in a courteous and professional manner.
- Security Response: Respond immediately to security breaches, alarms, and unattended baggage to mitigate threats.
- Compliance Adherence: Strictly adhere to TSA regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a secure environment.
- Public Interaction: Communicate clearly with travelers, providing instructions and assistance during screening processes.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of screening devices and workstations.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a thorough background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Education: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) is required.
