Responsibilities
- Conduct Security Screenings: Operate advanced imaging technology and X-ray machines to screen passengers and carry-on baggage for prohibited items.
- Physical Screening: Perform thorough pat-downs and bag inspections in accordance with TSA security directives and privacy regulations.
- Monitor Behavior: Observe passenger behavior and body language to identify potential security threats or anomalies.
- Customer Service: Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor while communicating with the traveling public and resolving inquiries.
- Regulatory Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, security procedures, and agency policies.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team to maintain efficient checkpoint operations during peak travel times.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Background Check: Must be willing and able to pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug screening.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass a medical examination.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Availability: Must be available to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
