Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers and property using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and body scanners.
- Enforce security regulations to prevent prohibited items, including weapons and explosives, from entering secure areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, answering questions and assisting individuals with disabilities.
- Monitor screening equipment for anomalies and recognize suspicious behavior patterns.
- Document incidents, violations, and screening results accurately in security logs.
- Collaborate with fellow officers to maintain order and efficiency at the security checkpoint.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Pass a comprehensive background investigation, drug screen, and medical exam.
- Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation.
