Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage for prohibited items
- Conduct thorough physical searches of individuals and carry-on items when necessary
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger manifests
- Communicate security protocols to passengers professionally and effectively
- Report suspicious activities and security breaches to supervisory personnel
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of screening activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- No felony convictions or outstanding warrants
