Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray scanners, metal detectors, and CT systems to screen passengers and carry-on luggage
- Conduct pat-down searches and explosive trace detection procedures
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes for compliance
- Monitor security checkpoints and report suspicious activities
- Enforce TSA regulations while maintaining professional passenger interactions
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Maintain accurate screening logs and documentation
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Successful completion of TSA background investigation and drug screening
- Customer service experience preferred
