Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage for prohibited items using X-ray equipment and manual inspection techniques
- Operate advanced security technology including CT scanners, trace detection systems, and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required by security protocols
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security regulations with professionalism
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel to address security incidents
- Maintain accurate documentation of security screenings and incidents
- Participate in continuous training on new security procedures and technologies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Previous security or customer service experience preferred
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
