Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patrols and surveillance of federal facilities during weekend shifts (Sat/Sun)
- Monitor access control systems and verify credentials using biometric scanners
- Respond to security incidents with rapid, protocol-driven escalation procedures
- Operate advanced CCTV systems and report suspicious activities to federal authorities
- Maintain detailed incident logs and security documentation in federal databases
- Collaborate with DHS and other federal agencies during joint operations
- Conduct emergency response drills and maintain crisis readiness protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Valid Illinois Class C driver's license and clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years security experience with federal facility background preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour weekend shifts (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM) with rotating schedules
- Physical fitness requirements including standing/walking for 8+ hours daily
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CCTV monitoring systems
- Completion of Federal Security Officer certification program
- Pass rigorous background check and polygraph examination
