Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security equipment.
- Conduct pat-down searches and physical inspections as required.
- Operate advanced imaging technology and other screening equipment.
- Communicate effectively with passengers and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain a professional demeanor in a high-pressure environment.
- Follow all TSA policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Report any suspicious activities or security concerns to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be able to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess good communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
- No prior experience required. TSA provides all necessary training.
