Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using X-ray machines and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough physical searches of passengers and property when required
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes for all passengers
- Maintain a constant vigilance for suspicious items or activities
- Operate advanced security equipment and follow TSA protocols
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers during the screening process
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel as needed
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Must pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (or higher education preferred)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be willing to complete paid TSA training program
