Responsibilities
- Operate advanced screening equipment to detect prohibited items in baggage and on passengers
- Conduct thorough physical pat-downs and baggage inspections per TSA protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service to diverse travelers during security screening
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
- Enforce TSA regulations while maintaining professional demeanor under pressure
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to obtain and maintain TSA Security Screening clearance
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Valid U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
