Responsibilities
- Perform security screening of passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology and X-ray machines.
- Conduct physical pat-downs and searches of individuals when necessary.
- Identify and stop prohibited items, weapons, and explosives before they reach the aircraft.
- Enforce security regulations and maintain a secure checkpoint environment.
- Assist travelers with special needs and provide high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Document screening activities accurately and report any security anomalies or violations.
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness and adhere to grooming and uniform standards.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and at least 18 years of age.
- Must successfully pass a federal background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Excellent vision (corrective lenses are acceptable) and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
- Must be able to pass a medical examination and fitness assessment.
