Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct physical pat-downs and baggage inspections as required by security protocols
- Verify identification documents and boarding passes against passenger manifests
- Respond to security alerts and potential threats with calm professionalism
- Maintain accurate records of screening activities and incident reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
- Adhere to TSA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for operating screening equipment
