Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct physical searches of individuals and carry-on items
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger manifests
- Monitor security checkpoints to detect prohibited items and suspicious activity
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies following TSA protocols
- Maintain accurate records of screening activities and incidents
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers while enforcing security regulations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-security environment
- Basic computer proficiency for document verification systems
- Must complete paid training program (approximately 2-4 weeks)
