Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using X-ray machines and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches when necessary
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes
- Monitor security checkpoints and report suspicious activity
- Operate advanced screening equipment and maintain security protocols
- Respond to security breaches and emergency situations
- Provide excellent customer service to diverse travelers
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Must be willing to work flexible shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn technical systems
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must pass TSA's Security Screening Test
