Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct physical screenings including pat-downs and baggage searches
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes for compliance
- Respond to security alerts and suspicious items with protocol adherence
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers during screening processes
- Maintain accurate security incident reports and documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergencies
- Stay updated on TSA security policies and procedural changes
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
