Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines and manual detection methods
- Conduct pat-down searches and identify potential security threats
- Operate advanced security technology including EDS and ETD systems
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and screening activities
- Enforce TSA regulations and provide customer service to travelers
- Collaborate with law enforcement during security alerts
- Participate in continuous training programs to maintain certification
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal residency status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods in security environments
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
