Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screening of passengers, baggage, and cargo using advanced X-ray technology and manual search techniques
- Identify and report prohibited items or suspicious activities according to TSA protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening incidents and security breaches
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers during the security screening process
- Operate and maintain security equipment including walk-through metal detectors and trace detection systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Adhere to all TSA regulations and standard operating procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal residency status
- Pass thorough background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid U.S. driver's license with clean driving record
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn security software systems
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays
