Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers and baggage using advanced X-ray technology and manual search techniques
- Identify and report prohibited items according to TSA protocols
- Maintain efficient passenger flow while ensuring strict security compliance
- Operate and monitor metal detectors, CT scanners, and other screening equipment
- Interact professionally with diverse travelers providing clear instructions
- Document security incidents and screening activities accurately
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
Qualifications
- US citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass federal background investigation and drug screening
- Valid US driver's license (if required for position)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
