Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct thorough physical pat-downs and baggage inspections as required
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify potential threats through behavioral detection
- Enforce TSA protocols while maintaining professional customer service standards
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement during security breaches or suspicious activities
- Participate in continuous training on security procedures and equipment
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid government security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Minimum 1 year customer service or security experience
- Proficient in operating screening technology (X-ray, CT scanners)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong observational skills and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
