Responsibilities
- Operate TSA-provided screening equipment to detect prohibited items in baggage and on passengers
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and advanced imaging screenings per TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activity with professionalism
- Enforce TSA regulations while providing courteous customer service to travelers
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and screening reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Participate in continuous training on new security technologies and procedures
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status with valid immigration documents
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
- Must complete TSA Security Screening Officer certification training
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
