Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machinery and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct physical pat-downs and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes for compliance with regulations
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activity or threats
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Maintain detailed logs of security incidents and passenger interactions
- Ensure efficient passenger flow while maintaining strict security standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Valid California driver's license or state-issued ID
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer proficiency for security systems operation
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
