As a TSA Security Screener, you will be the first line of defense in ensuring the safety of air travel for millions of passengers.
Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Interact professionally with the public to explain screening procedures and resolve issues calmly and efficiently.
- Enforce security regulations and identify potential threats to aviation safety.
- Assist in emergency situations and strictly follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform detailed physical searches of individuals and bags when required by security protocols.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness and report irregularities immediately to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Background Check: Must pass a security background check, medical examination, and drug screening.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass a vision and physical fitness test.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
