Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray equipment and metal detectors.
- Patrol security checkpoints and enforce TSA security directives and regulations strictly and professionally.
- Identify, isolate, and resolve security threats while maintaining a courteous demeanor with the public.
- Operate and monitor explosive trace detection equipment and other security technologies.
- Document observations and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, including assisting those with special needs or language barriers.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- Ability to pass a medical examination, including vision and hearing tests.
- Willingness and ability to undergo a thorough background investigation (including criminal history and fingerprinting).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required by the physical demands of the job.
- No history of disqualifying criminal offenses or drug use.
