Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and metal detectors
- Conduct physical pat-downs and baggage searches when necessary
- Operate advanced imaging technology and trace detection equipment
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes
- Enforce TSA security protocols with professionalism and respect
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies per established procedures
- Maintain accurate screening documentation and reports
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security systems
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
